Grove Farm Bed and Breakfast
Bed & Breakfast near Staindrop, County Durham

Hello and welcome to the Grove Farm Bed and Breakfast website.

I'm Stan Thompson, if you visit Grove Farm Bed and Breakfast it will be my pleasure to make your stay as comfortable, relaxing and homely as possible.

Grove Farm is a 200-acre sheep farm that has been my home since 1953 when, as a three-year-old, I moved here with my parents. Grove Farm is nestled amongst the green rolling hillsides of Langlydale, part of Raby estates.

Located near to Raby Castle the home of Lord Barnard. The farm is some 3 miles west of the lovely village of Staindrop and 5 miles north of the historic market town of Barnard Castle. Although in easy reach of many places of interest, the farm is well away from the maddening crowd where you can relax, take a deep breath of fresh air and be amazed by the stunning views across open farm land to the distant Pennine Hills.

You will sleep in quite comfort and awake refreshed to the soft sounds of bird song and the promise of a breakfast to
set your day alive!

My wish is that you make my home your home for the duration of your stay  and leave with a lasting impression of this lovely part of the country that I love and cherish so much.

Kind regards

Stan Thompson.
